lisanotleycakedesign.co.uk The wedding cake is a representation of your personal style & choosing your wedding cake is an exciting part of your planning process and it should be as stress-free & enjoyable for you as possible. Most designers will invite you to their kitchen/studio where over tea & cake you will explore your ideas and discuss your requirements for your unique cake. It is useful for you to take along your scrapbook / Pinterest ideas, fabric swatches, venue & floral design ideas which all help in perfect enable them to create the centerpiece for your special day.
There are so many different flavours to choose from, why not have a different flavour for each tier? After all your cake should not only look amazing, but it should taste delicious too. My favourite flavour at the moment is my award-winning Purbeck Cider & Apple Cake, Cider syrup and Liberty Fields Aperitif Buttercream
When should I book my Cake Designer?
Generally, it is recommended that you choose your wedding cake designer 3 – 6 months before your wedding – many designers/creators get booked up to 18 months in advance, my advice would be to book your designer early, choosing your design later. You can arrange to meet with your designer when the other details of your wedding become clearer. Most cake designers will want to deliver and set up your wedding cake for you on the morning of your wedding. Stacked cakes can be fragile, it’s important that they are transported & handled correctly.
How Do You Choose A Wedding Cake Designer?
Finally, love the vendors that you choose. You can then both relax and enjoy your wedding knowing you are in good hands.
