Terms and Conditions
Please read these Terms and Conditions (Terms) carefully and make sure that you understand them before ordering any products from us. By ordering any of our products you agree to these Terms. We recommend you print a copy of these Terms for future reference.
We, Jennifer Trim and Charlotte Cobb trading as Pastel Designs, operate and own the website PastelDesigns.co.uk
Our website, logo and all of our products are protected by author rights and copyright. Any reproduction, whether of the whole or part, of our website or of our products is strictly unauthorised and prohibited.
By placing any order with us, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are legally capable of entering into binding contracts.

We take every effort to ensure that the information published on this website is accurate. However, we cannot accept any liability for the accuracy or content. Visitors who rely on this information do so at their own risk. Pastel Designs reserves the right to change prices and/or products without prior notice.
Upon placing your order via the website, you will receive an automatic order confirmation via email. Your order will only be accepted and processed once we have received full payment of the price of the products and any relevant delivery charges. All orders are subject to acceptance by us and we will inform you if for any reason we cannot process your order.
Prices and Delivery Charges
The price of the products will be as quoted on our site, except in cases of obvious error. The prices of our products are in Pounds Sterling. Prices are shown for each item. VAT is not applicable. We reserve the right to amend our prices at any time before accepting payment in relation to your order.
Free UK delivery is included with every order. If you require delivery to outside of the UK, please contact us for a quote for the delivery charges.
Free matching envelopes are included with every invitation order. For exact details about the type of envelopes that are included, please visit the product page. Envelope liners may be shown in some of the images but are not included as part of the invitation product and would need to be ordered separately.
Some of our products may require assembly, such as the wedding invitation wraps and envelope liners. If you would like us to assemble these for you, please contact us for a quote.
Payment for our goods and services can be made through secured payment by Paypal or on a credit or debit card (through Paypal – we do not have access to your credit card details) or by bank transfer to our account with Lloyds TSB. Please note that your order will not be processed until Pastel Designs has received full payment in cleared funds.
Order Process and Time Frames
Website Orders: Once we receive your order, together with payment, we will put together a proof for you based on the design you have selected, the wording and/or any special requests you have included on your order. The proof will be emailed to you for approval. This is usually between 24 and 48 working hours later, although it may take longer at busy times. All designs can be customised within reason. Please contact us first before placing your order online to check whether your customisation request is possible.
Bespoke Orders: Please complete the ‘bespoke design request form’ on our website or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with a brief of what you would like. We will email you back with a quotation within 1 working day if it is something we can help with. If you would like to go ahead, we will send you a proof via email, usually within 5 working days, although it may take longer at busy times.
Personalisation: If you would like your invitations to be personalised with your guests’ names, please select this as an option when ordering via our website and upload an Excel or csv file. A list of names in a Word document is also acceptable. If you have selected a bespoke design, you can email the list of names to us instead. Please double check the spelling of all names before uploading. We will print the names exactly as you have included them and, unless the design requires the names to be in a specific case (e.g. all uppercase), then they will be printed in the case you have supplied them. We will not proof names back to you. Please check that the number of invitations that you have ordered, match the number of guests’ names in your spreadsheet. If you have any foreign characters in your spreadsheet, please check with us first as these may not reproduce as intended.
Approval: Upon receiving your proof(s), it is your responsibility to ensure that all of the details and layout are correct to your requirements. We are not responsible for checking spelling and grammar. Changes may be made and up to 3 sets of revised proofs will be sent free of charge. If more than 3 sets of proofs are required we reserve the right to charge an extra fee of £7.50 per additional proof.
Once you are 100% happy with your proof and you are confident that there are no content or layout errors, please reply to the email with the latest proof confirming your approval. Once we receive this email, the items will be sent to print and it will be too late to make any further amendments.
The products shall be delivered to the address indicated in your order within 1 – 2 weeks of your final approval if you are in the UK. For international addresses, please contact us for delivery times and prices.
These delivery times may not be complied within the event of force majeure, industrial action or changes to customs procedures or practices.
If you require your order by a certain deadline then let us know and we will do our best to meet your requirements, although we cannot be held responsible for late deliveries for reasons out of our control.
We usually use Royal Mail or DPD couriers for all of our deliveries. A signature is normally required upon receipt of your parcel. However, if you wish, you can choose for the items to be left in a safe place. If you choose to do this then you are accepting responsibility for these items.
Pastel Designs cannot be held responsible for non-delivery if you have provided an incorrect delivery address or nobody is there on more than one occasion to accept the parcel. Any undelivered parcels will normally be returned to us and we reserve the right to request payment of additional delivery charges from you if you wish us to re-send the parcel.
We are more than happy to help with any queries that you might have concerning delivery, so please do not hesitate to contact us.
Refunds, returns and reprints
Once you have approved the final proofs via email, it is not possible to return products for refund other than in the event of an order being produced to the wrong order specification or not to an acceptable standard. In either of these cases we will offer a reprint free of charge. Any errors in printing must be reported via e-mail to email@example.com, please make sure to include your order reference number in the subject line. In order to qualify for a refund or reprint you will need to email us within 48 hours of order receipt. We will also require you to return a sample or photographic evidence of the issue.
If the packaging of your order has been slightly damaged, please accept the material from the courier and write on the document provided that you have accepted the package subject to checking. Once you have verified damage has occurred to the material inside the package you must email us on firstname.lastname@example.org within 48 hours so we can process and reprint your order immediately.
If, when delivered, the printed product cannot be used because there is no packaging or the contents are completely ruined, please do not accept the material and mark the refusal on the document provided by the courier. You must email us on email@example.com within 48 hours to inform us of the issue so we can proceed and reprint your order immediately.
We cannot accept a claim for items that have been damaged or stolen due to leaving them in your chosen safe place.
We warrant to you that any product purchased from Pastel Designs will, on delivery, conform (in all material respects) with its description (including any files provided by you), be of satisfactory quality, and be reasonably fit for purposes commonly associated with the product.
If we fail to comply with these Terms, we shall only be liable to you for the purchase price of the products.
Please note that it is your responsibility to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country for which the products are destined. We will not be liable for any breach by you of any such laws.
The products that appear on our website are processed and printed by professionals, and are subject to quality control throughout the whole production process. Nevertheless, the computer preview does not enable the colours or paper texture to be fully appreciated or reproduced. Furthermore, you may, depending on the configuration of your computer, screen and printer, get an appearance which is different from the reality. Consequently, Pastel Designs cannot be held liable for a slight difference between the colours or texture of the image preview and the colours or texture of the delivered product.
Pastel Designs endeavours to make the Website and Services available 24/7. However, we cannot be held responsible for any failures resulting from network or telecommunication failures, or user mistakes, or the use of inadequate equipment from the user.
Pastel Designs reserves the right to modify and improve anything deemed necessary or useful to the Website and the Services provided.
Pastel Designs reserves the right to temporarily suspend access to the Website in the case of system failure, maintenance or repair. In such circumstances, a notice will appear on the Website.
Pastel Designs respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Any information provided by you in the course of purchasing from us is used in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not pass your details onto anyone else. From time to time we may email you with special offers and newsletters. If you do not want to receive these you can unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of the email.
